Elissa Scott is the Chief Executive Officer of Blue Light Victoria, a leading charity focused on early intervention and prevention programs for young people aged 10–21. With a background in both law and social work, she brings over 30 years of leadership experience across the education, community and legal sectors, with a strong focus on improving outcomes for young people.
Prior to her appointment as CEO in 2021, Elissa held senior executive roles, including CEO and Executive Director positions within the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria, the Neighbourhood Justice Centre and Victoria Legal Aid. She has also served on several community boards. As a lawyer, she specialised in criminal law, advocating across all court jurisdictions and working with some of the state’s most vulnerable people.
Before her legal career, Elissa worked as a social worker specialising in mental health and young people, with experience spanning Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, the Department of Education and Child and Family Services in the United Kingdom. She is also a qualified social work supervisor, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and an experienced speaker committed to strengthening outcomes for young people.
